Kindergarten students must be accompanied by a responsible person at both pick-up and drop-off times. Please ensure someone is present at the stop in the afternoon to receive your child.

For first-time riders, it is highly recommended that students take their first bus ride in the morning to become familiar with their designated stop. Parents/guardians are encouraged to identify a nearby landmark and practice the walk to and from the bus stop with their child in advance.

All pick-up times are bus departure times. Students must be at their stop and ready to board the bus at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time to avoid missing the bus.

All student information is linked to PowerSchool at the school your child attends. The information you provide to Transportation must match what you have provided to the school. Information from this form is not used to update student information with the school. It is your responsibility to ensure the school has the most up-to-date information on file.

I have read and understand the policies and procedures outlined in AP 551 and the Transportation Safety document, and I accept responsibility for ensuring my child follows them.

I understand that in order to be approved for ineligible busing, all outstanding busing fees from previous years must be paid in full or payment arrangements have been made.

I understand that BRSD has a GPS-enabled school bus tracking system on all BRSD school bus transportation routes. I also understand that buses are equipped with video surveillance, including audio recording, and will be clearly marked to indicate the presence of such systems.

Bussing details will be available starting August 21. Once your registration has been processed, you will receive an automatic email notification. Beginning August 21, you can sign in to the Bus Planner Parent Portal to view your child's specific stop times and locations.

Protection of Privacy – Personal information provided is collected in accordance with section 4(c) of the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) and protected in accordance with section 10 and used and disclosed in accordance with sections 12 and 13 of the Act. Battle River School Division may use student personal information and BusPlanner to make decisions, recommendations and/or predictions for the purpose of student transportation assignment. Information collected may be transmitted to and stored on servers outside of Battle River School Division, Alberta and Canada and Battle River School Division cannot guarantee protection against disclosures as a consequence of foreign laws.
